When a Dreamer meets Insomnia: Poems from a first gen Unafraid to pick up a pen

En la casa de cristal
En vez de la casa de papel
You know glass is easy to break

Seeing imperfection
Analyzing the complexion
Clean it squeaky clean
Training for the home

Wanting to explore
Wanting to know more
Seeing the pieces
Not the pictures

Often the mediator
Loved by a protector
Sis got that hustle in her
Radiance shines within her

Power in that runway
Power in that smize

Did she know that a smize could be a crime
If we don’t unlock what’s behind the eyes?

Hazel eyes, right?
Like Kelly
Channeling a little Tori with that Kelly

Pretty hurts
But it hurts so good

Head up high sis
Cuz you got it
From the start
You’ve always had it

I see you itchin’ for a Bee hive
Go ahead and inspire the queens

The ones with a spark in their eyes
Ready to unlock the beauty
Beyond what they see
